Q: What makes the FD261 stand out from other 60-foot headers?

1. 61 Feet of true ground following flex

The FD261 FlexDraper® is a fully flexing 61-foot draper header. The FD261 provides your customers with 61 feet of true ground following flex, and our close reel-to-cutterbar relationship ensures efficient heads-first crop flow over the entire 61-foot span of the header.

2. Serious capacity

The MacDon FD261 features 50-inch-deep drapers. With a 61-foot gathering width and 50-inch-deep drapers, this is the highest capacity FlexDraper MacDon has ever produced.

3. Controlled traffic solution

The 61-foot gathering width is ideal for your customers using controlled traffic farming; for everyone else, it's a 61-foot gathering width!

Q: How does having a fully flexing 61-foot header affect the overall flex range?

The overall flex range increases on the FD261 over other FlexDraper sizes. Including flex and float, the FD261 boasts over 46 inches of total wing range on either end of the header, independent of the combine.

Q: How much more capacity does the FD261 provide over an FD250?

A massive 22% more capacity over the 50-foot FD2.

Q: Will I need to stock a bunch of different parts for the FD261?

No. The FD261 uses common parts that work on all FD2 models.

Q: Are there any differences in performance options with the FD261?

Yes. First, MacDon's EasyMove Transport is unavailable on the FD261, so your customers will need a trailer to haul this unit. Second, the FD261 requires two Stubble Light kits instead of one.

Q: Do ContourMax Contour Wheels work with the FD261?

Yes. 61-foot FlexDrapers are available with MacDon ContourMax Contour Wheels, so your customers get 61 feet of contour-following performance up to 18 inches off the ground.
